Runnin Down a Dream

Well… we did it. We ran down our dream: the road-trip-summer-vacation that we’ve talked about for decades and had been planning for months. 

When I pictured us driving “into the great wide open,” I usually visualized a flat stretch of road that faded into the horizon and, while we had plenty of flat stretches, we also had plenty of ups and downs and twists and turns, literally and figuratively..

I guess that’s par for the course in 2020, right? 

Truth be told, as much as I’d like to blame 2020 for everything, twists and turns are just how life works. Real estate is no different, from your side of the closing table or mine. Business has been weird this year, in plenty of ways, which is a direct result of what is happening with consumers; with you. 

How’re you holding up? 

Are you reevaluating plans? Are you forced to wait to make a move because of job insecurity? Are you forced to make a move you weren’t planning for? Are you circling the wagons and need a different housing situation now than you did at the beginning of the year? Did you decide to charge forward and make things happen, in spite of everything going on? 

We’ve had our slowest and busiest months happen, almost as if a switch was flipped, and what was true before remains true, even in this crazy time: no two situations are ever the same.
